Key areas of responsibility included: - Management of Finance (team of 8, trial balance to statutory accounts), reporting to Group CFO - Strategic investment analysis including investment modelling - Commercial management, including contract negotiation and pricing analysis - Process analysis and improvement, including deployment of new billing and purchasing systems - Supervision of HR, Legal and Administration departments (3 staff). Responsibilities increased to include: - Manager of Finance team of 7 direct reports - Cashflow forecasting, planning and reporting - Capital budgeting and reporting. PIPE Networks was an ASX-listed telecommunications infrastructure provider that specialised in high speed fibre networks for the Corporate, Government and Wholesale sectors. I was responsible for the Financial Accounting function and reported to the CFO. Key responsibilities included: - Management and oversight of AIFRS compliant financial systems - Creation, implementation and monitoring of all accounting functions - Liaison with external auditors during half year and full year statutory audit processes - Preparation and lodgement of statutory accounts in accordance with AIFRS - Preparation of special and general purpose reports including monthly board reports - Assistance in preparation of budgets and forecasts including cashflow forecasting - Tax compliance (Payroll Tax, FBT, Income Tax) - Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.Mobile Digital was an authorised repair agent for Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson mobile phones, in addition to being an authorised Sony Service Centre for various Sony consumer electrical goods. The company was also the first contractor operating the Nokia Care Centre in Brisbane when it opened in 2002. In addition to this the shareholders also had financial interests in various retail outlets ('3' branded mobile phone stores) and commercial properties which were managed by me.
